بدعوة من الآباء الفرنسيسكان شارك الخوراسقف بولس ساتي المدبر البطريركي لإيبارشية القاهرة للكلدان بموسم صوم السيدة العذراء في دير سيدة الإنتقال درنكة / أسيوط في صعيد مصر.

الدير مبني فوق المغارة التي يعتقد بأن العائلة المقدسة حلت فيها أثناء رحلتها في مصر.

يتم الإحتفال بموسم صوم العذراء في الفترة من 7 لغاية 22 أغسطس والذي يختم بعيد رقاد وإنتقال العذراء إلى السماء.

تحتفل بلدة درنكة كل يوم بقداديس وصلوات مختلفة ومساءاً يكون هناك تطواف ( دورة ) في كل البلدة مصحوبة بالتراتيل المريمية وصلاة المسبحة الوردية وتختم بريسيتال ووعظة عن العذراء.

الجدير بالذكر بإن هذه المشاركة للكنيسة الكلدانية هي الأولى من نوعها في هذا الإحتفال المهم للكنيسة الكاثوليكية في مصر.
